Third Pacifica Chess Open

Today the American Tournament Chess Club held its Third Pacifica Chess
Open and it was a resounding success. Although most players came  from
Pacifica, other cities represented where San Francisco, Woodside,
American Canyon, Vallejo and Aptos. Many thanks for those who came
from so far away to help make this tournament a success

We had an equal number of players in Divisions 1 and 2 with ten players
each. In Division 1, for rated players playing for the cash prizes, the winners
were R. Cusi and E. Perez. In Division 2 the top players were K. Kumar
and R. Pepin who actually tied for first place with four wins each, they will
each receive an engraved trophy and all players in Division 2 will receive
a medallion.
