We are growing

The first Thursday night meeting of the American Tournament Chess Club
at the Vista Del Mar Baptist Church was an unqualified success! After
seeing the two ads in the Pacifica Tribune on Wednesday, we had two new
gentlemen come in to play chess (well you have to start somewhere) and
each one saw a different ad, how strange! They both played John Galpin,
the founder and president of the American Tournament Chess Club,
in simultaneous games of chess.

When asked, both Bob and Ed said that they would be back soon.

After the meeting I asked John how he felt he said that he was so excited
that he would have a hard time getting to sleep tonight. Way to go John
and the American Tournament Chess Club. Onward and upward.
